Facebook recently introduced a new feature to their network tagged 'Star Your Close Friends', this enables you see more of your close friends update on your news feed and also helps to categorize your friends. Most times I miss my close pals updates, and I guess this new feature will solve that. This is where you can star your friends:
A new page pops out, where you see a list of your friends(mostly the ones you contact regularly), click 'Add' to star any as your close friends:
You can also remove anyone from your Close Friend List by clicking on the 'Manage List', then 'Edit List' button on the right of your screen:
All your close friends carry a golden star to their profile:
