FACEBOOK FANPAGE BUSINESS (part2)

Welcome back!!! Like I said in my previous post, I'll be throwing more light on how to startup facebook fanpage business. You don't have to be computer/Internet guru to start making money in this business, all you need is the basic knowledge of surfing the Internet and using facebook website.
WHAT ARE THE THINGS NEEDED?
1. You need to have access to Internet (not necessarily 24hrs Internet access). At-least 1hr Internet access whenever you want to work will be okay.

2. You need to have a Facebook account.

3. A means of communication, either or both 24hrs available Mobile Phone Number or Email Address.

4. Above all, you must know how to create a professional Facebook fan page. If you don't know how to do it, read Mahalo's post on How To Make A Facebook Fan Page.
GETTING STARTED

1. Finding your potential client(s) is the first step in this business. I won't advice you meet top companies like Coca-cola, 7Up, Mortein e.t.c. You'll be working with local business owners, and companies. When I say Local Business/Company, I mean those business you can find around you, like Supermarkets, Bars, Restaurants, Painters, Clinics e.t.c. You'll find it easier to work with this kind of business owners, than working with top companies that already have Web Developers/Consultants.

To increase your chances of hitting a deal, you won't only rely on Businesses/Companies in your area. You have to search for Local Businesses in other part of the country. This won't be difficult, coz there are so many free Nigeria Business Directory Websites on the Internet. You can use any of the two below:
Vconnect Local Business Directory
Mocality Business Directory

We'll be using Vconnect Local Business Directory as our case study, to find potential clients. Vconnect is one of the largest business directory in Nigeria, and very useful in this business. Here are the steps to follow in using vconnect to seek clients.

Step1:

Login to Vconnect website, http://www.vconnect.com/. You can either register as a member or you can surf through the site as an anonymous guest, the choice is yours but you won't be able to view the full contact details of any business listed in your search result. (I advice you register with the site.). Locate the search tab and type in the particular business you are looking for, as shown in the snap shot below. Click the search button.

Step2:

Depending on the business you are looking for you'll get results for it. We used 'Night Clubs' In 'Lagos' as shown in the snap shot above. Here are the results for it

Step3:

Click on any business from the search result that interests you, to view their contact details. With these contact details you start your proposal campaigns.

Now that we've found a potential client, the next step is to contact the client via Email or SMS. I use the both, but most times I prefer using Customized SMS to contact Clients, why? Clients are more likely to read every Text Message that comes into their phone than every message that comes into their e-mail in-box.

An illustration of how the campaign Email or SMS should look like, is giving below:

"Good day, my name is Ifeanyi Kalu, a professional Facebook Fanpage designer. I found out you own a Nightclub in Lagos and I've been surfing through your website. I noticed your business has no presence on Facebook, so I'm offering to design a professional Facebook Fanpage for your business for free. If you are interested in my offer, please don't hesitate to contact me with these details: 0803*****9, or via email on Kalu@XXXX.com. Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you".

In the campaign message I said "...offering to design a professional Facebook Fanpage for your business for FREE". The idea behind that is, It'll help them make descide easily and hopefully to your favour, since the company has nothing to loose. The question now becomes, How Do You Actually Make Money From it? There are lots of Irresistible features and services you can use. Example:

1. FacebookPage Management: You can offer to manage their facebook fanpage for them at a fixed price. Most of these local businesses might not have the time to manage their Fanpage, this makes your services relevant.

2. Newsletter Feature: You can also add the newsletter feature to youris premium service. This feature provides an autoresponder for their page and they'll definitely need it.

3. Facebook Likes/Fans: This is another wonderful service you can also add. You can offer to drive targeted fans to their page, if they upgrade to your Premium Service.

There are lots of wonderful, irresistible features available for you to add to your service.

You can add this to the email campaign sample:

"...If you upgrade to my PREMIUM FACEBOOK SERVICES, I'll brand your page and also drive targeted facebook fans to your page."

When creating the fanpage, try to make sure you drive upto 30+ Fans to the page, most of them want a good evidence/assurance that you can handle the job. They'll be impressed if they can see upto 10 active fans on a new page.

The ball is now in your court, play it well. The price is totally your choice to make, mine vary depending on the client I'm dealing with; but on the average I charge N15,000 for my service.

More info on How To Get Targeted Facebook Fans will be posted later. Hope you make good money with this information. Keep visiting and sharing this blog for more info. Hope to see your comments, share this post on facebook, twitter and google+
